Bonnie, the founder of PLANET2PLATE, splits her time between Tomales, located in the NW corner of Marin County California, and San Miguel de Allende, located in the central highlands of Mexico.

After spending 20+ years in charge of high-end travel marketing departments, she turned her talents to the world of organic agriculture.

The non-profit she named PLANET2PLATE is the result of her loving both travel and the world of small farm agriculture, and believing everyone wins when more people experience first-hand the world of farming, artisanal food production, and of course, communal dining experiences.

We believe that learning about food & farming is best done through personal first-hand experiences. We want to make it easy for everyone to get back to the farm...in other words "to experience food and farming for yourself." Through travel we will connect you to the people and land where your food begins.

3 night/4 day escorted food tour
January 27-30, 2012

DAY 1 - FRIDAY: Fly into Leon, Mexico (BJX). Transfers included to your authentically Mexican accommodations at the Casa Luna in the center of this beautiful World Heritage town. Walking tour of the historical center. Later that night enjoy a Welcome to Mexico dinner & mezcal party!

DAY 2 - SATURDAY: Breakast at your hotel. Tour the Farmers Market located on the grounds of the 5-star Rosewood San Miguel de Allende property. Artisanal Lunch in town. Cooking Class & 4-star dinner.

DAY 3 - SUNDAY: Breakfast at your hotel. Yoga & smoothies on the roof in the morning. Early afternoon drive to agricultural town of JALPA and the HACIENDA PURISIMA, for the first-ever OITF in Mexico! Tour of the hacienda's organic farms, sit down to OITF's iconic long-table meal prepared by one of San Miguel's premier chefs.
